Those old dance routines are even more entertaining now than when they first aired. It always amused me to see the outrage when a new dance craze hit the scene like the dirty dancing and later disco, which is nothing but a revival of exhibition dancing. Those hoofers of old had some pretty smooth moves that sometimes bordered on gymnastics. The gal doing the number topless with only a lei draped strategically over her nipples is more risque than any later public dancing I can recall. It was hardly unique. Twirling long skirts to flash the white silk panties underneath was common in a day when such was only a little above a striptease act under other circumstances. Remember Marilyn Monroe's famous scene standing over the sidewalk vent in Some Like It Hot?  When these clips were part of the regular entertainment lineup I'd always thought them sort of boring aside from the occasional upskirt shot and couldn't understand why adults made such a big deal out of them. The same with Big Band orchestras and Classical music. I'm still kinda meh about those two but I've come to really appreciate the fancy footwork of yore. Thanks for posting that one, Charlie.
