autumn is very nigh! I can't imagine living where there is no real winter. that grey frozen hellscape in videos feels a lot better than it looks, though there are problems, like not freezing to death.Really not as hard as it looks. and I love the short days.
honestly, the sun can get brutal here in the winter, bouncing off all the white snow. It's recommended to go hiking with a life alert button and uv blocking glasses. you will get eye damage if you go hiking on a sunny day.

Luckily, summers here are short. by october, it's all cool and crispy, and may be rainy. ya never know. each year is different. but once the deep freeze sets in, Jan and feb are two very dark cold months, which isn't everyones cuppa tea, but I love it! So much better than summer!
