I still miss my time at sea. I was on the flight deck most of the time, and the view was amazing.
If I was a youngun, I'd be on a fishing boat right now in the Bering sea or Flemish cap. Either one sounds great.

But nooooo! They decided to educate me, and sent me to Tennesee in the middle of summer and they filled my brain with knowlegde and stuff, then sent me to Virginia to torture pilots.
I did a stint at ASW, too. Mostly maintaining and configuring a mock-up of a sub on hydraulics. I would sometimes fart around with it after all my work was done, but it usually ended up crashing into the bottom of the ocean.

I think my favorite machine was the decompression chamber. They would load it up with pilots and other crew members, and I'd sit down in my comfy seat in front of a panel full of levers and buttons, and literally suck the brains out of them.
They would get all giggly and retarded and fart like crazy. The chamber stunk like the devil afterwards, but it was fun and relaxing.
Oh! The Helo Dunker was fun, too! We all got to wear those tight little shorts that got all the wimmens staring at my crotch. The Dilbert Dunker was left idle at the time, as a pilot died in it.
