Tampa Bay to be hit by hurricane

every street with piles of debris out front from Helene

and it's not just our neighborhood

all the coastal neighborhoods and beaches look like this

mountains of debris line the roads

i lived through 4 hurricanes on the beach in 2004

Charley was a cat 4

it hit just south of us and we were fine
no storm surge if south of us
but a direct hit or north and we're fucked

it's a watch and wait game for now

my mother has 5 or 6 monster metal sculptures that have to be moved
if winds are cat 3 or higher

problem is, by time we know if it's on top of us
it's already raining
do we move the art now before the rain or wait and see
